Within the past 50 years, Arick Skyeforge had gathered together a large group of magescians of all walks of life and set out to the Terra Expanse. He had a dream of creating a large, open city beneath the mountains much like Targallah is carved into ice of Aisko. He wanted nothing more than to open Magesc up to more open-minded individuals of all races. A large metropolis, one that can easily be defended from attack, and open to all who desire a life with diversity and freedom from the confines of the current status quo.
The dragon totems were found by a team of magescians who were trying to uncover stones and gems at the Desert Quarry. The Quarry Master, Aventis Viore, sanctioned that section of the quarry for more careful and precise digging when the first totems were found. Upon more investigation, a special team of archaeologists that were hired for the excavation found that the site had been that of an old ruin of a society long past. They speculated that these dragon totems were hand crafted by magescians of old in reverence to the gods and their dragon creations, emulating what the gods could do as they crafted each dragon.
A few centuries ago, the world of Magesc was stricken by poverty. The people attempted to make a living by selling the souls and tears of dragons exclusively. Although the dragon's souls and tears were the currency of the world, the people's drive to hunt the dragons decreased. It was realized that, as time went on and technology began to increase, these currencies were unsustainable. Then a group of high-class merchants, of all races, whom called themselves the Zilaein Traders, began to do something unthinkable prior to this time.
The winter breeze blew through the violet locks that adorned the head of the golden scaled individual. She wrapped her cloak tightly around her body as she moved quickly through the desert floor of Eowyn in the late evening. It was then that she heard the booming roar of a firani dragon in the distance. Her eyes quickly darted back and forth, trying to see if she could view the source of the sound even in the dusk of night
