Gaeah is the ‘Goddess of Creation’. In the beginning, she created the world of Magesc and formed the lands and seas. She then gave life to the twin goddesses Soudana and Seren who were given the power over dark and light, death and life. Realizing she needed balance in her world, she created a god, her first son, Abronaxus, whom she gave more responsibility than her daughters to keep the world in complete harmony. As the formation and control of the different continents took place by her first three children, Gaeah realized the need to care for the seas. This is when she created her youngest son, Vaevonus, whom was entrusted with them.
A millennia passed and Gaeah noticed her daughters fighting over Magesc, each wanting to rule it solely by themselves. This displeased the Mother Goddess, seeing her daughters try to take control of a world she created for them all to share. Due to the selfishness of her daughters and the disappointment she felt in Abronaxus for not bringing harmony to Magesc, she vanished from the world. Her only sadness came when she left her youngest son, Vaevonus, and vowing never to return to a place full of war and hatred. It is said that Gaeah’s beauty is everlasting throughout nature and you can always still feel her presence when you feel a gust of wind or a chill in the air even if she is no longer present herself. |
Soudana is the 'Goddess of Darkness and Death'. She is very powerful, but beautiful. She crafted the moon to watch over the nights of Magesc. She also created the diabi dragons in the beginning and legend says that she resides in each and every one. Her people are known as the raguati; a strong and powerful group of individuals who have claimed Soudul as their home continent. Soudana wanted Magesc for herself and her people, but when she couldn’t claim it as her own, she started the Great Engagement which has waged ever since. She is seen as the villain simply because she threw the first punch. For a thousand years, Soudana has solely resided in the heavens. Due to this, Drago Verrano, current king of the raguati, has taken the raguatan agenda into his own hands, and, although he states he still receives his orders from Soudana herself, she has not given an order in more than a millennia.
Soudana has long been thought to be an evil, heartless deity in Magesc who is cruel and vindictive; this, however. could not be further from the truth. Legends say that she noticed the pain and loss that her war had caused her youngest brother, Vaevonus, to go through. She also understood the peace that her moon brought him. Whenever Vaevonus would share his power with it, she would in turn, give some of her own to match; eventually gathering enough energy to create the moon god himself, Masava, whom Soudana named and sent to Magesc with the sole purpose of loving Vaevonus for eternity. |
Seren is the 'Goddess of Light and Life'. She has the power to heal any wound, curse, or disease of any kind. She created the sun to warm the world but also to watch over the days of Magesc. Seren was the one who created the aedaun dragons in the beginning, and legend has it that there is a piece of her soul in every one. Seren created her own people to take a defensive stance in the war of Magesc. They are known as the asarei and have claimed the land of Serenia as their own.
Aevah Avi — a high priestess of the land — has become queen, and takes commands from Seren alone. Aevah is the current listener and speaker for Seren, taking the asarei in the direction Seren wants. The war itself was waged against Seren and her asarei, and thus it is their duty to take revenge upon the raguati and take the land in the glory of Seren. Although both twin goddesses wished for ultimate dominance of Magesc, Seren has put her foot down and has become much more self-righteous and consistently chooses to continue the blood bath on Magesc even though her sister has left the battlefield altogether. She now wishes to continue the fight until Magesc is claimed in her name. She realizes her sister has given up the fight, but knows that in the end, Magesc will only be hers to rule when her sister’s filth ridden lands are cleansed with the holy firelight of Seren. |
Abronaxus is the 'God of Elemental Harmony'. He is the most powerful god of all, creating all elements and making sure every one of them is in harmony with one another. In the beginning, he fabricated every elemental dragon and created for himself a race to call his own after he saw the creations of his sisters. The dovaa, as they became known, were created with the sole purpose of ensuring Magesc’s continued harmony.
Abronaxus did his job for many centuries, keeping the peace between his siblings and ensuring the prosperity of Magesc. His greatest downfall, however, was ignoring both of his sister’s demands for more power. By the time he had realized what his ignorance had cost them, it was far too late to save Magesc. War had begun. In order to ensure the safety of his creation, he created a dwelling place for his people to live in called the Celestial Realm. A realm completely devoted to Euferia and his magescian dwelling place, the Celestial Fortress. He also, with the help of many peisio dragons, created the Celestial Vortex in the Western Sea to be the portal between his own world and that of Magesc. Marcus Ysaride, of the peisio clan, came to power and leads his people as Emperor in the ways of harmony. No one talks to Abronaxus but Marcus himself, and he is the only one allowed in the top tower of the fortress. Abronaxus takes no side in the war, believing that his sisters will one day come to find that they are both wrong. He continues to plead with his mother to come back, though his words are often met with silence. |
Vaevonus is the 'God of the Sea'. The youngest of the gods created by Gaeah. He is revered by all his siblings, yet is the most reserved of them all. Vaevonus had found his peace at the bottom of Magesc’s clear seas after his sisters began to fight and his mother had left. Although the seas were calm, an overwhelming loneliness overcame him. Each night, Vaevonus would visit a tall peak on an island in the Northern Sea that looked up towards the moon. It brought him so much solace to bask in it’s soft, glowing white light. Over time, his loneliness grew and he began to call out to the moon, each night giving more and more of his godly power to it.
Eventually, one night, the moon was nowhere to be seen and the skies were dark and cold. Vaevonus cried out in agony, deeply hurt by the moon’s betrayal; only to realize the reason the moon was not in the skies was because it had come to be with him. A man, illuminated with a soft pale glow, appeared before Vaevonus and called himself Masava, the ‘God of the Moon’. He explained that because of Vaevonus' selfless actions of giving up his power night after night, the energy finally created Masava for him to love. The gods together named the chain of islands surrounding the peak, the Islands of Vaevo and the peak itself, Lover’s Crown. Legend states that the two gods are only able to be together one night a month, when the moon is nowhere to be found in the sky. It is those nights that all of Magesc knows the gods of the moon and sea have been reunited yet again. |
