Arick SkyeforgeThe King of Ellora. Albyna SkyeforgeOwner of the Wayfarer’s Wares. The Skyeforge name
Being brought up under the Skyeforge name was quite a blessing for this young lad. Just about everyone knew the name "Skyeforge" in the Celestial Realm meant greatness. Aoric Skyeforge, the great blacksmith and craftsman, Laeora Skyeforge, his wife, the great tailor of Euferia, Kaesin Skyeforge, their first son, the "Mead Man" as he was called, and their daughter, Lensi Skyeforge, the great enchantress. Aoric and Laeora both began "Skyeforge Industries" and from that a plethora of different businesses bloomed. Aoric started his own blacksmith shop and sold his weaponry and armor to aid in the war effort. Laeora tailored clothing and many elegant pieces, selling them as well to the rich. Kaesin created "Skyeforge Mead", an amazing drink that will lower accuracy but raise your defense quite a bit. He also started the "Skyeforge Inn", where he would sell this elixir to his guests as well as run the most well known inn in all of the Celestial Realm. Lensi took the armor, weapons, and clothes that were made by her parents and would enchant them, making them enhance special characteristics upon the wearer or user. Arick was brought up in this family of greatness and everyone expected the world of him. He didn't know what else he could do, so he trained under his father and became well known for his excellent smithy works. It was obvious that he obtained his ability from his father. The two worked on many projects and his knowledge and strengths grew. His weaponry was fantastic and rivaled his father's even at his young age. From then on, Arick always thought his place was by his father's side. As Arick grew, however, he realized that he didn't want to be stuck in the Celestial Realm day in and day out. He made a point to his parents that he wanted to spread the Skyeforge name to all of Magesc, not just the realm. His parents were proud that he decided to take the family name outside of the plane to grow and expand. A traveling merchant is what he decided to become, He left the moment he grew into an expert and from that day forward, he took his life to the road in order to expand his knowledge and sell the Skyeforge wares. A Helping Hand
Arick began by just traveling from major city to major city selling his weaponry and what clothing and items he could carry from his family. However, that didn't seem to be enough to get his name out there. It was then that he caught wind of little settlements all around Magesc that weren't apart of the major cities because they were the "unclean" or "banished" peoples. When he discovered that these hybrids existed, he began to find ways of obtaining the Runic Weapons that all raguati and asarei needed in order to fully realize their potential. He gathered the magical weapons from the different race leaders, and when he did and word spread of his deed, many hybrids from all around Magesc came to him for these sought after items. Through his travels, a couple of years into his life outside of the Celestial Plane, he found a khehora nest and actually saved a feral ysali khehora pack from a firani dragon attack. In return, the family gave him an egg, telling him to always cherish it no matter what. He did, and when it hatched, the little ysali aliora and the gaili dovaa himself knew that they would be bonded for life. The little fella, whom he called Sage, was a rare form of khehora, and his family knew it. Thus, bestowed upon Arick the gift of their rarest child as they saw the power the man held and knew he would take care of their baby. Though, Arick hadn't known how rare or special this little egg was until the hatching. Sage grew alongside Arick and the two made a great pair. Now, Sage helps Arick by carrying some of the wares and bringing in customers, flying about handing out fliers for "Peddler's Rock" and also keeping him company during his adventures. From there, he became a master of the gaili magic and expanded his customer list tenfold. He had finally realized his dreams of becoming a successful traveling merchant, going anywhere and everywhere, and serving his customers with kindness. Being able to live his dream was one of his greatest accomplishments to date. Now he travels to all corners of Magesc selling his many wares and gaining more clientele than any other traveling vendor. ETERNAL LIFE Eternal Life
As the years turned into decades, Arick passed along his many wares and changed many lives throughout his own. His life had been grand, but he was now old and unable to continue the good work he had once started. The old gaili dovaa and his companion Sage retired to the Celestial Plane to live out the end of his life, alone. The man gave his entire life being a kind steward to all. So many lives were changed in fact that Kalyth, the Celestial Dragon himself, caught wind of it all and showed himself to Arick, one of the first times the Celestial Dragon had ever done so in his lifetime. This meeting was special, one that would change the course of Arick's life forever. The old dovaa, whilst laying his one good eye upon the mythical dragon, was changed instantaneously. His hair, once a very salt and peppery color, turned completely white with a special, glistening aura about it that shined and sparkled in the sunlight. His horns, too, turned a silvery white, the scales glistening like diamonds. His age reversed about five decades and his one good eye turned into an astral flurry of ever changing rainbow colors. He was granted eternal life in that moment, so that for the rest of his days in this world, he could spread the good word of Kalyth and utilize his life for the betterment of all Magesc. Doing this, empowered his magic immensely, also changing his bonded companion, Sage, as the old dragon's once green feathers and scales turned a silvery white as well. Arick vowed to continue his life's deeds and thanked Abronaxus for his everlasting gift. As he did all those years ago, he and Sage returned to Magesc and continued his travels, as he was given a second chance at life. As word of his eternal life spread, the overwhelming support poured in. Everyone continued to buy from him and the Skyeforge name was not lost, but preserved in the annals of history forever. Giving life to a Totem
After being granted eternal life from the Celestial Dragon, Arick continued his work throughout Magesc for decades. Things had changed once the dragon totems were uncovered. And years later, when the secrets about them were revealed, Arick took a liking to collecting as many as he could. He would go to the quarry and buy them in bulk. He wanted to be sure to sell them to all Magescians, and not allow them to fall into only greedy hands. When his stock was filled, he traveled the lands, dispersing the totems to all whom wanted one. Arick wanted nothing more than to share them with all. Over time, however, the gaili dovaa realized eternal life was not all it was said to be. Arick outlived many of his friends, his allies, and even his allies children that he watched grow. Life was becoming evermore lonely. He hadn't ever taken a wife or husband, hadn't ever fallen in love. He had his trusty aliora and that was all he ever needed. However, through all of this, he felt the need to bear a child. The best way he could do such a thing without taking a wife, was to infuse dragon souls with a totem, giving the old totem life. He had been selling them to many, but never had he decided to take a kolkyrae on himself. Upon much thought, months of thought in fact, he decided it would be a wonderful idea to do the infusion on his 200th birthday. Over the months of preparation, he gathered many aedaun and diabi dragon souls, the souls of both light and dark magic. With him being dovaa, he wanted a piece of both the asarei and raguati with him at all times to balance him out. The day of his own birth, he prepared the entire ritual. He gathered the souls together and placed the totem in the center of them all. Over the course of an hour, the totem had absorbed the souls and glowed an amalgamation of both light and dark, swirling the colors together in a beautiful maelstrom. That evening, the totem began to meld and transform until a small, apprentice-sized kolkyrae was formed from it. This kolkyrae was different from others he had seen. The amalgamation of both light and dark twisted and turned throughout the skin before fusing into one single body. From the finished product, the kolkyrae opened her eyes to reveal one light and one dark, with her chest crystal being completely fused with both light and dark. The jade totem used in the transformation was apparent by her black hair with jade tips and the specks of jade that ran up her left leg and the tips of her windswept horns. Upon her birth, she was named Albyna and was Arick's faithful companion for years. The two, along with the trusty Sage, set off throughout Magesc in order to help restore it to it's former glory. They became a dynamic duo in selling wares to all peoples across the globe until Arick left to help create the city of Ellora. Then, Albyna took on the sole responsibility of selling on her own in a new wandering shop she called The Wayfarer's Wares. Albyna travels alongside her trusted guard, a gaili dovaa named Beatrix Nyran. Together, they set up "The Wayfarer's Wares" all over the globe. |
